Product code/grade : VIJAYCOL - PSH/90 (High Quality Refined Psyllium Husk)

VIJAYCOL – PSH/90 is obtained from Psyllium seeds (Plantago Ovata), popularly known as Isabgola, which is a seasonal agricultural crop cultivated in Western India. Shree Vijaylaxmi exports Psyllium in Husk and Powder form which is further processed and used in medical preparation by leading international pharmaceutical companies through world wide.

VIJAYCOL – PSH/90 is produced by separating the thin, white husk from the seed and further sieving to get different, high quality grades. The husk contains about 30% Mucilage, mainly and Galacturonic Acid. VIJAYCOL - PSH/90 is a 100% pure natural product and does not contain any preservatives. Hence, it is subject to seasonal color and flavor variations.

Cassia Split/Gum is the purified flour from the endosperm of the seeds of Cassia tora/obtusifolia. It belongs to the Family Leguminosae. C. tora/obtusifolia which grows wild in the subtropical regions of the world and is occasionally cultivated.
CASSIA TORA PLANT
Cassia gum swells in water and forms high-viscosity aqueous colloids after it is boiled. Cassia gum, flour from the endosperm of Cassia Tora is well suited for use in the manufacture of gels in combination of other colloids and has potentially numerous food applications. It is used as a thickening agent in pet food and other technical applications(e.g. emulsification, foam stabilization, moisture retention and texture improvement) at concentrations comparable to those of other edible natural gums. Cassia Gum is approved for use in Europe and is listed as a stabilizer( thickening and gelling agent) in the manufacture of canned pet foods ( for cats and dogs). It is also approved for use in Japan and is listed as a food additive. The available data on Cassia Gum and structurally related gums demonstrate a lack of toxic effect in animals.

During the gum manufacturing process, husk & germ are obtained. These are used as a valuable cattle feed as they are rich in protein. These are widely sold in the international market as "Guar FLOUR / Meal" & have contents of "Oil & Albuminoids" (O & A ). The O & A contents are about 50% in germ whereas it is about 25% in husks.
